I have 300 miles of mostly trail and off-road riding (4WD roads) throughout Colorado. The bike has handled everything I have thrown at it. Bring back the Prodigy XC!

First the negative. I had to replace the seat. It is a hard seat. I wound up having to stand for much of the initial rides. As for the ride, I was very pleased withe the brose motor. I am amazed at how much torque it has. Climbing hills is not a challenge. The brakes are excellent on dirt or paths. Some of my rides cover 40-50 miles and I am happy to say that even if the battery gets exhausted, I can still ride just like a regular bike. Also, I really like the headlight. It is bright enough for my rides which for the most part begin in the dark. I know this bike has been discontinued. Too bad. I live in Tucson and will try climbing mount lemon when it gets a bit warmer. Probably in tour and sports mode. That ride will really test the battery and range. I can hardly wait

This bike is a stand-out in terms of torque (90nm), battery/range (35+ miles), and top speed (28 mph).

If Ride1Up made a version with full-suspension and a drop-post, we’d buy that in a second!

Very high quality components and also look amazing.

Handles everything I’ve thrown at it so far. It’s lighter than my other bike and fits me better for single track riding. Buy it if you’re thinking about it!!!

Unfortunately you can’t get one anymore, I was fortunate to get mine. Added riser bars, new saddle, suspension seat post and a rear rack to personalize mine. So far so good! Also would recommend adding tannus armor tire liners, I had a flat right out of the box and my first ride.

Assembly went perfectly and I had everything I needed. Note that the instruction videos available for this bike are for the normal version, no official assembly instructions for the XC. I was able to find randos on youtube putting this bike together for the hard parts.

One thing to look out for: If it seems like the cabling is tight on the bars, you have the forks rotated wrong. Mine came with the forks backwards so I had to do that bit twice.

I got everything I ordered on time and even ahead of schedule in some cases.

It rides well and performs about as advertised range-wise. I like that this bike encourages more full range muscle engagement than my old hub bike did.

The saddle is not comfortable for an older rider with an active history, hard on the hips, but I got the touring package and that saddle is working nicely.

The metal-on-metal threads for the pedals to the cranks probably have benefits, but the crank arm will fail before the pedals if something comes loose. TIGHTEN the pedals ALL THE WAY, then keep going.

Last note is that my display doesn’t match up to any documented model – there’s no way to turn off the headlights. They are stuck on if the bike is on.

The documentation says there should be an option in the menu, but it’s missing for mine? The button that is supposed to toggle headlights does nothing.
